Blueberry Festival at Ellington Farmers' Market Saturday July 18th

The Ellington Farmers’ Market is almost half way through their outdoor market season, and fresh produce is at its peak of goodness as they celebrate one of New England’s favorite joys of summer...the blueberry. Fresh and delicious and loaded with antioxidant power, the Ellington Farmers’ Market will have a variety of yummy blueberry-laden treasures from which to choose. They will be serving up fresh blueberry shortcake and many of the 4o vendors will feature special blueberry concoctions including a wide variety of blueberry baked goods and jams. Music will be provided by the popular local band Stray Dogs.

Stray Dogs is a 5 piece band from Broad brook, CT consisting of 2 guitars, bass, keyboards and drums. They play a mix of music ranging from classic rock to R&B to country with a few genres in between, nothing too heavy or too light, just the right mix to enjoy while you sit under the shade trees and enjoy the morning. Join the fun and don’t forget your reusable bags and baskets to take home plenty of fresh produce as summer moves forward.
