"Chopped" Chef Cooking Demonstration at Ellington Farmers Market

Learn to cook local market items with Chef Chris Avtges who will share recipes, ingredients and cooking expertise with market customers.

The Ellington Farmers' Market is hosting a cooking demonstration by "Chopped" Chef Chris Avtges during the final winter market on Saturday March 25th at 2:30 at the YMCA, 11 Pinney St. The demonstration will feature cooking with local foods available at the market including seared salmon over winter greens slaw, gluten free waffle chicken bites with rhubarb ginger glaze, and how to prepare fresh spaetzle pasta. The event is free and open to all. The final winter market will take place from 2-4pm and host 25 vendors bringing fresh produce, seafood, meats, dairy, baked goods, jams, relishes, pickles, specialty foods, ready to eat meals, natural cleaning products, body products and artisan wares.
