Dog Day June 6th at Ellington Farmers' Market Features Rabies and Microchip Clinic, K9 Demo, Dog Trainers, Dogs Available for Adoption and More.

It's all about dogs Saturday June 6th at the Ellington Farmers' Market Dog Day. Rabies and Microchip Clinic and CT State Police K9 Demo.

There is no need to wait until the dog days of summer to experience everything canine at Happiness is a Warm Puppy Dog Day hosted by the Ellington Farmers’ Market, Saturday, June 6 from 9 AM – Noon. Ellington Center Animal Clinic will offer rabies shots ($20.00) and microchip insertion ($30.00) for cash donations to benefit Ellington Animal Control, which provides food and care for animals at the Ellington Dog Pound. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome at the most popular theme day of the season. Cats in carriers are welcome too.

The CT State Police K9 Unit will be giving a police dog demonstration at 10:00 AM and expert dog trainers from Faithful Friends K9 Academy will be available all morning to give advice on training issues. Faithful Friends will also be bringing information on their therapy dog and service dog programs. Sadie Mae Foundation dog rescue group will be on hand to provide information about their services, and to showcase some adorable dogs eligible for adoption. You may just find the perfect match for your family! Kids can decorate their own gluten- free doggie treats or treat their canine friend to some ice-cream just for them available at Pastries 4 Pets.
