Early Dismissal for Ellington, Somers Schools
Schools are closing early due to a snowstorm that is expected to deliver up to 8 inches.
Ellington and Somers students will be let out early from school today, Jan. 21.
Somers Public Schools posted the following notice on its website:
"Somers Public Schools will be having early dismissal today. There will be no afternoon Pre-K or after school activities."
WFSB is reporting that Ellington Public Schools also have an early dismissal.
Parts of northern Connecticut are expected to see as much as 8 inches of snow by Wednesday due to an incoming storm hitting the area Tuesday morning. Severe cold is also expected Tuesday evening with temperatures as cold as 4 degrees for this area.
