Ellington Farmers' Market Gardening Grows the Spirit Theme this Saturday May 23rd 9-12 in Arbor Park
It's all about gardening at the Ellington Farmers' Market. Demonstrations, information, loads of plants, kids seed planting and 40 vendors!
Join us this Saturday for Gardening Grows the Spirit from 9 AM until noon as we celebrate (finally) the warmth that allows us to plant things and joyfully watch them grow. Whether you are a seasoned gardener or are planning to get your hands dirty for the first time, we will have experts available to assist with your gardening efforts. Two master gardeners from UConn will answer all of your gardening questions all morning long, and three planting and plant care demonstrations are scheduled. There will be dahlia tubers, annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetable plants available for purchase from several vendors. Children can plant seeds to take home, and Ellington Agway’s experts will be on hand armed with knowledge and information on gardening products. We have had blessings from Mother Nature so far this season and it looks to continue this Saturday. Bring your baskets and/or reusable bags to the market on Saturday, and think about growing something of your own!
