Ellington Farmers' Market to Hold Edible Animal Contest

Enter to win market gift certificates, enjoy the musical entertainment of the Glastonbury Ukulele Band, shop the best of local and fresh!

The Ellington Farmers’ Market will host an Edible Animal Contest on Saturday Aug. 11th from 9-12. Participants can bring their edible animal creations to the market at 9:00 to be entered in the contest. Market customers will vote for their favorites throughout the morning with the winners being announced at 12:00. Gift certificates to the market will be awarded to the top three entries.

Judy Handler and Mark Levesque will be providing the musical entertainment. Husband and wife duo, Handler and Levesque have performed over 2,000 concerts together in the United States & Europe. Their sophisticated & expressive arrangements blend classical, Brazilian, Latin American, klezmer, gypsy, jazz, Celtic and folk music influences to create a unique and extraordinary sound. This, matched with their impeccable musicianship, has won them a widespread enthusiastic following.
