Ellington Farmers' Market to Host Heirloom Tomato Festival

From Black Krim and Polish Linguisa to Black Cherry and Marianna's Peace you'll find an abundance of heirloom tomatoes and products.

The Ellington Farmers' Market will be hosting an Heirloom Tomato Festival on Saturday August 25th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St. An abundance of ripe and juicy heirloom tomatoes including Sunny Boy, Black Grim, Money Maker, Thessaloniki, Polish Linquisa, Black Cherry, and Marianna's Peach and more will be among the varieties available for purchase along with salsas, hot sauces, marinara sauces and tomato baked goods. Kids ages 5-12 can sample tomatoes and receive a $2 token to purchase fresh produce at the Kids Power of Produce Club. Tomato season in a short one in Connecticut, enjoy them while you can!
