Ellington Farmers Market Host Youth Market Day

Budding farmers and entrepreneurs 17 and under will be bringing their products to the market Saturday as guests for Youth Vendor Day

Ellington Farmers’ Market is encouraging farming and entrepreneurship by holding Youth Market Day on Saturday August 10th in Arbor Park from 9-12. Budding farmers and entrepreneurs ages 17 and under will be on hand offering market customers products they have grown or handmade. In addition to the youth, 40 vendors will be on hand. Peaches and tomatoes are in and summer vegetables are peaking. Farm products including pork, beef, chicken, dairy, seafood and cheese will be available along with baked goods specialty foods and artisan wares. The female A-Capella quartet Red No. Five will be providing the musical entertainment for the morning.
