Ellington Farmers Market Hosts Apple Festival

Enjoy apple crisp from LuAnn's Bakery for breakfast, see how apples are made into cider and shop delicious apples and apple products

The Ellington Farmers' Market will be holding an Apple Festival on Saturday September 29th from 9-12 in Arbor Park. Apple crisp by Luann's Bakery will be served. A wide variety of locally grown apples will be available for purchase along with an apple cider pressing demonstration throughout the morning. Apple baked goods, and apple products including, applesauce, apple jams and apple chutneys all made with locally grown apples will be available for purchase. Live music will be provided by John and Heidi Cerrigione. In addition Cathy Testa of Container Crazy CT will be giving a demonstration on how to create a succulent topped pumpkin center piece in the big gazebo at 10:00.
