Food, It Feeds the Mind, Body and Soul is the topic of a free program at the Ellington Farmers Market to help you stay healthy in 2020

The Ellington Farmers' Market is continuing its mission of helping customers to create healthy eating habits. Certified Health Coach and Cooking Instructor Kimberly Schneider will present “Food, It Feeds the Mind, Body and Soul” at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday Jan. 18th at 2:30 PM. Participants will learn about the importance of feeding your body healthy, nutritious whole foods along with addressing stressors and lifestyle choices to attain optimal wellness. The program includes interactive activities and a demonstration on preparing healthy smoothies and no cook energy balls. The program is free and open to all.
The market runs 2-4 and hosts 25 vendors bringing a wide variety of locally raised farm products including produce, meats, dairy, cheese and eggs. Jams, salsas, relishes, pickles and even bloody Mary mix are just some of the items available that are made with locally grown produce. Baked goods, specialty foods, all natural bath and body products and artisan wares round out the selection of products.
