Ellington Farmers' Market Hosts Chef Demonstration

Chef Ed Malik will be demonstrating several ways to prepare that New England staple, summer squash, at 10:30 at the Ellington Farmers' Market in Arbor Park, Main St. Ellington. Learn how to use raw zucchini and yellow squash to make sushi rolls, prepare crunchy zucchini rounds with sun-dried tomatoes and goat cheese and create an easy and versatile dip for vegetables. This event is sponsored by the North Central District Health Department in conjunction with the Ellington Farmers Market whose missions include the promotion and education of healthy eating habits in the area communities.
