Ellington Farmers' Market Opens 2017 Outdoor Season with Barnyard Babies
Come and see spring's newest farm babies, shop for local and fresh products and enjoy live music while visiting family and friends
The inaugural event of the 2017 Ellington Farmers’ Market season takes place Saturday May 6th in Arbor Park on Main Street from 9-12 and will feature this spring's newest Barnyard Babies where kids of all ages can enjoy visiting local farms’ newest spring additions including newly hatched chicks and ducklings, calves, lambs, goats and even mini donkeys!
The market features forty vendors bringing a wide variety of locally grown and produced food items. A host of guest vendors will add a wide variety to the to the weekly offerings of local produce, plants and flowers, dairy, beef, pork, lamb, seafood, poultry, cheese, honey, baked goods, specialty foods, alpaca products, handmade soaps, natural body and cleaning products, artisan wares and more. Folk singer Sheryl Stanton will be providing the musical entertainment.
EBT is accepted and up to $20 per week of matching SNAP dollars is available through the markets matching SNAP dollars program. Transactions can be made at the market booth with the big green market partner banner.
