Ellington Farmers' Market Presents "Farming In The Olden Days"
Enjoy hands on activities, climb aboard antique tractors and trucks, shop for local and fresh products and enjoy live music.

The Ellington Farmers' Market's Farming in the Olden Days theme takes place Saturday September 21st from 9-12 in Arbor Park. Ellington Historical Society will be presenting "The Farmer's Wife" as part of the Farming in the Olden Days theme. Enjoy the first-hand experiences of a farmer's wife in the "olden days" including butter churning and the equipment used to do the laundry in days gone by. Kids can sit in the drivers seats of antique tractors and trucks and even beat a rug! Displays of antique farm equipment round out the event.
Jeannie Murphy will be providing the musical entertainment. Jeannie has the ability to sing everything from Patsy Cline to Melissa Etheridge, beautiful ballads to rock & roll scathing. Jeannie has been named Connecticut Country Music's Female Entertainer of the Year by the Connecticut Country Music Association and won an award for her songwriting collaboration with her mother. Bring a chair to relax under the shade trees to enjoy the beautifully powerful voice of Jeannie.
Forty vendors will be bringing a wide variety of fresh produce and farm products, baked goods, specialty foods and artisan wares. A complete list of vendors for the morning can be found on the market's weekly newsletter
