Spring is here and preparations are well underway for the May 11th opening of the Ellington Farmers' Market. The market, a 501c3 non-profit corporation, depends on sponsorship from local business and individuals through their Market Partner program to support their free programs and activities. The market offers a matching SNAP program, Kids Power of Produce Club, educational programs on healthy living, gardening, cooking demonstrations and weekly live musical entertainment.

The Ellington Farmers' Market is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Ellington area by providing a community activity which fosters social gathering and interaction and to preserve Ellington’s unique agricultural heritage by supporting local farmers.

Information on supporting the market by becoming a Market Partner can be found on their website or by contacting the market master at ellingtonfarmersmarket@gmail.com
