Ellington Farmers' Market Summer Season Begins Saturday May 9th 9-12 in Arbor Park with Barnyard Babies and Everything Local and Fresh!

The Ellington summer farmers' market season kicks off Saturday May 9th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St. Fun for the entire family.

Barnyard Babies is the theme for opening day at the Ellington Farmers’ Market Saturday May 9th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St, Ellington. The entire family can enjoy visiting cute and cuddly baby farm animals and join the fun in the “Name the Lamb Contest” The person submitting the winning name will receive a $25 gift certificate to the market. Jeannie Pomeroy-Murphy will be providing the musical entertainment.

New vendors to the market this year will be adding micro-greens, lamb products, artisan teas from locally grown herbs, soups and ready-made lunch and dinner items to the list of products available weekly which include; produce, plants, seafood, beef, pork, poultry, dairy, local raw honey, baked goods including gluten and dairy free, a wide variety of specialty foods and artisan wares.

The market is pleased to announce they will be matching the first $1000 of SNAP dollars redeemed. Simply present your EBT card at the market booth and request any dollar amount of SNAP tokens. The market will match up to $20 per week per person. For example if you wish to purchase $20 in SNAP tokens the market will give an additional $20 in SNAP tokens which can be used to purchase any SNAP eligible food item at the Ellington Farmers Market only. This program will run until the $1000 budget is depleted.
