Ellington Farmers' Market Winter Season To Begin
25 vendors will be bringing the best of local and fresh to the Ellington High School. Face masks and social distancing required.
The first Winter Ellington Farmers' Market is being held Saturday November 21st from 9-11 am at the Ellington High School, 37 Maple St. The market manager has worked closely with the health department to ensure a safe shopping environment. Masks are mandatory and social distancing protocol is in place. The cafeteria and lobby will be in use and you'll find Smyth's Trinity Dairy outside in the parking lot.
Produce, meats, seafood and all the specialty foods that are so unique to the market will be available. The market welcomes a new vendor, Dorothy's Kitchen, featuring pecan rolls, breads, coffee cakes and cookies. Better Together gluten free bakery, La Brioche French bakery and Mama's Macs and more round out the bakery lineup. Grab some goodies and pop them in the freezer for Thanksgiving Day.
The market is the perfect place to start your holiday shopping for unique handcrafted items including alpaca products, soaps, body and bath items and soy candles. A nice food basket with local jams, bloody Mary mix, soup mixes and cheese would make a great gift too.
