Ellington Historical Society Farm Exhibit Grand Opening

Explore Ellington's rich agricultural history, enjoy live music, visit barnyard babies, decorate a pumpkin, browse the scarecrows and more

The Grand Opening of the Farming Exhibit at the Nellie McKnight Museum, 70 Main St. takes place Saturday October 24th from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Explore Ellington's rich farming history featuring the evolution of farming in Ellington beginning in the late 1800's. Browse among the many artifacts in three rooms featuring The Farmer's Wife, The Tool Room and Farming Equipment. In addition to the farm exhibit, activities are planned throughout the event.

  • Enter the Pumpkin Decorating Contest-bring your entries by 10:30 am
  • Explore "Petticoats and Pantaloons" Ladies’ Vintage Clothing Exhibit
  • Decorate your own pumpkin to bring home
  • Shop autumn decorations and decor
  • Browse the scarecrow creations

Masks are required when visiting the event and social distancing measures are in place.
