Ellington Ridge Country Club Hires New Food & Beverage Manager
Seasoned Hospitality & Event Executive Joins The Team At ERCC

Ellington Ridge Country Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Young as the Club’s new Manager of Food and Beverage. In her role, Melissa will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at Ellington Ridge Country Club’s dining facilities. Young will employ her wealth of expertise and innate charm to lead Ellington’s in-house restaurant and bar with impeccable service and detail.
Melissa brings many years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to Ellington Ridge Country Club. Prior to Ellington Ridge, Melissa was born and raised in South Windsor, Connecticut. In fact, her entire family grew up in South Windsor. Her Grandfather Harvey Young was a Hartford Policeman and the town of South Windsor has a memorial dedicated to his legacy near the high school. She attended South Windsor High School and graduated in 1994. From high school she went to Europe and traveled all over the world developing a gift for networking and connecting with others. Melissa launched her career in hospitality and event management at Paramount Studios, where she worked for ten years. She has designed and planned Celebrity Weddings, Fashion Shows, and Red Carpet Events, and has expertise in coordinating events for as large as 1,000 people and as intimate as 60 people.
She missed her family in CT and came back to Tolland in 2013 and launched her own Event Management company called Paramount Events. She has always loved the hospitality industry and has worked at prestigious hotels like IHG Hotel Group and Hilton Hotel Group as a Food & Beverage Director.

Melissa is a positive leader. Goal oriented, organized, self starter, driven, multi-talented and has an eye for an aesthetically pleasing environment and luxury. With a magnetic personality that draws people in; Melissa says she owes much of her success in her career to having the capacity to be able to understand the needs and wants of clients and people in general.

She will be enhancing the overall dining experience that ERCC has been able to develop with our Chef Bill Zanawich and will be rolling out some exciting developments in 2021."

Established in 1959, Ellington Ridge Country Club is an 18 hole championship golf course designed by noted golf architect, Geoffrey Cornish. We consistently have been rated as one of the top courses in CT and have hosted the Traveler's Qualifier, CT PGA, CSGA, CWGA, collegiate and junior tournaments.
