Ellington Ridge Country Club Partners with Non-Profit ClubsHELP

Ellington Ridge Country Club Partners with ClubsHELP.org To Support Eastern Connecticut Health Networks Fight Against The COVID-19

Ellington Ridge Country Club (ERCC) is proud to partner with ClubsHELP.org which is a newly formed non-profit organization borne out of the current pandemic that matches member clubs with local hospitals to support frontline workers in their fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic. ERCC is happy to announce that they are adopting the Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) right in their local community.

ERCC members, companies, and individual donors will be pitching in to gather, collect, and deliver the most critical items and resources needed. Hospitals around the world are in dire need of support to fight the COVID-19 virus. Supplies are scarce and help is urgently needed. ERCC felt compelled to get involved.
ERCC will be focusing on the following key areas to help ECHN locally:

  • Basic Food Items: Bottled water, electrolyte drinks, hot meals, and wrapped sandwiches.
  • Miscellaneous Supplies: Bags, UV lights for sterilization, moisture wick tee-shirts to wear under PPE gear.
  • Delivery Services: Drop off and pick up items from club kitchens, club members’ enterprises/resources, businesses and homes.
  • Other Resources: Vehicles, personnel, manufacturing capabilities
  • Monetary Donations.
  • Providing “Cards of Thanks” to workers.

“When one of our wonderful members Brian Furbish told me about wanting to bring this initiative to our club, I was behind it 100%,” comments ERCC President Cyndi O’Connor. “It’s a perfect example of how our members continue to pull together in this crisis to help those less fortunate in our community and to support the needs of our frontline healthcare staff who are putting their lives on the line for all of us on a daily basis.”

Here’s what Tiffany Gelsomino, Director of Business Development for ECHN said in response to ERCC's partnership....

“ECHN is excited to be partnered with the Ellington Ridge Country Club through an initiative called Clubs Help. We greatly appreciate the amount of support and generosity that has been received from our community members. On Friday, May 15, 2020, Ellington Ridge Golf Course donated medical face masks, isolation gowns, vouchers for groceries, water and assorted snacks to Manchester Memorial Hospital. We are so thankful for their efforts and look forward to our continued partnership!”
