Ellington Road Work Slated for Next Week

Prepare for slight travel delays as work begins on several roadways in Ellington in the coming days.

Starting Tuesday, Aug. 6, the town will begin road work on Hayes Ave, Hillsdale Dr and Field Drive.

"This work will consist of milling off the top 2 to 3 inches of pavement, followed by the repair and installation of the existing drainage system along with the adjustment and repairs to the sanitary sewer manholes," according to the department of public works. "When all is completed, the roadway will be repaved." 

The town asks that motorists do not park in or on the road beginning Monday, Aug. 5.
