Ellington and Somers Arrests Include Assault, Credit Card Fraud
These reports were logged at Troop C in Tolland and do not indicate convictions.

July 24
At approximately 7:25 p.m., Steven Kellner, 25, was stopped for a motor vehicle infraction in the town of Ellington. Upon further investigation, Kellner was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. He charged with sixth-degree larceny, credit card fraud, and possession drug/marijuana. Kellner was also given an infraction for passing in a no passing zone. He was assigned a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on Aug. 12.

At approximately 12:55 p.m., Edward Janczak, 51, of 36 Lownds Rd. in Windsor Locks, surrendered himself to Troop C on an active warrant issued by Rockville Superior Court on July 10. He was processed according to state police policy and charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault for an incident on Field Road in Somers. Janczak was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear on Aug. 11.

Between the dates of July 23 and July 26, a larceny from a Settlers Way property in Ellington took place. The items taken were an X Box console, a game controller, and various X Box games. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Marquis at 860-896-3222 ext. 8063.
