Ellington and Somers Arrests Include Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, Evading Responsibility with Property Damage

The Stafford Resident Trooper’s Office arrested Anna Belle Durgan, 20, of 11 Fairview Ave. in Ellington, and charged her with possession of alcohol by a minor, first possession of less than ½ oz. marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of risk of injury to a minor subsequent to a suspicious vehicle investigation in Hyde Park in Stafford Springs. She was processed at Troop C without incident and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on Aug. 3 on a $2,5000 non-surety bond.

July 17

At approximately 8 p.m., Dennis E. Robinson, 31, of 111 Westside Rd. in Torrington, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant for an incident that occurred on June 6, 2015 on Route 83 in the town of Ellington. He was processed at Troop C in Tolland and charged with operating with a suspended licnese, evading responsibility with property damage, and following too close. Robinson was released on a $5000 surety bond and is due at Rockville Superior Court on July 29.

July 19

A vehicle was traveling westbound on Windsorville Road in Ellington when the operator became drowsy and fell asleep. The vehicle crossed the eastbound lane of travel, departed the roadway, and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was heaviliy damaged and was towed from the scene. The operator, a 23-year-old South Windsor man, was transported to Manchester Memorial Hospital for evaluation of minor injuries and was treated and released. He was charged with making a restricted turn.
