March 26

Jesse J. Fraser, 21, of 49 Crystal Lake Road, Ellington, was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, interferring with an emergency call and third-degree assault.

A Somers man was traveling too fast for conditions on Pinney Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Pinney and Windsorville roads, causing the vehicle he was driving to strike the stop sign and then a tree on the side of the road before coming to rest on Windsorville Road, according to police. The man was charged with traveling too fast for conditions and failing to stop at a stop sign.

Police are investigating a report that someone or a group of people entered a residence at 18 Billings Road in Somers between 11 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. and took jewelry from the home. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Somers Resident State Trooper's office at (860) 749-4955
