Ellington Winter Farmers Market Kicks Off
Local and Fresh is Back! Meats, Seafood, Dairy, Produce, Baked goods, Specialty Foods, Bath and Body Products, Artisan Wares, Holiday Items
The Ellington Farmers Market along with the Indian Valley Family YMCA is excited to continue the mission of loving, giving, healthy living and building community in the winter market season. The partnership is a great example of two organizations working together to enhance the surrounding community. The season kicks off Nov. 23rd from 2-4 PM at the YMCA, 11 Pinney St. with 30 vendors bringing the best of local farm and food products and artisan wares. The market welcome several new vendors to the winter season including Mama's Macs, Yum-Us Hummus , Amazing Ackee and Killam & Bassette free range chicken. Additional guest vendors will rotate through the season and can found on the market website under the schedule tab. The Holiday Extravaganza Market will take place on Dec. 7th with additional vendors bringing holiday items. The Holiday Food Festival which takes place on Dec. 21st will feature additional food vendors for all your holiday needs. The market continues every other Saturday through March 14th.
Ellington Farmers' Market is a 501C3 non-profit corporation. They support low income families with a matching SNAP program. The market also provides free educational programs and community activities which fosters social gathering and interaction.
