"Farming Through the Years" at Ellington Farmers' Market Saturday June 27th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main ST.

Farming in "The Olden Days" is the theme this week along with 40 vendors bringing you local and fresh!

“Farming Through the Years” will be the theme at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to noon in Arbor Park. The Ellington Historical Society will be presenting “The Farmers’ Wife” offering farm related activities for kids, including butter churning, washing in a wash tub, and rug beating. Antique truck and farm equipment will be on display.

Archaeologist Mandy Ranslow will present a hands-on activity called “cross-mending,” which consists of piecing together fragments of items found in the digs done at the Nellie McKnight Museum.

The KC Sisters will provide the musical entertainment. The five young musicians play instrument including violin, bass, guitar, keyboard and drums and along with vocals.
