Halloween Pet Parade At Final Outdoor Ellington Farmers' Market
Bring your pets in their Halloween finery for the pet parade and stock up on all your market favorites. Great early holiday shopping too!
The final outdoor Ellington Farmers' Market takes place on October 19th from 9-12 in Arbor Park. The ever popular and hilarious Halloween Pet Parade will take place at 10:30. Bring your pets dressed in their Halloween finery and join the parade. Any kind of pet is welcome to enter. A panel of judges will be on hand to narrow the field down to the top three entries. Market customers will then vote via applause on 1st 2nd and 3rd place. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and treats will be given to all dogs entering the contest.
The Market still has an abundance of locally grown produce including tomatoes, raspberries and even strawberries thanks to the warmer then usual weather. 40 vendors will be in attendance bringing a wide variety of locally raised farm products, seafood, baked goods and specialty foods There is also a great selection of handcrafted and all natural soaps, bath and body products and artisan wares perfect for early holiday shopping.
The winter market will begin on November 23rd at the YMCA, 11 Pinney St. Ellington and run every other week through March 14th. Additional information can be found on the market website www.ellingtonfarmersmarket.com
