Final Summer Ellington Farmers' Market This Saturday
The market will be hosting a Halloween Pet Parade at 10 a.m. along with over 35 vendors on the final summer market day (Oct. 18).
The final Ellington Summer Farmers’ Market will take place this Saturday Oct. 18th from 9-12. The market is hosting a Halloween Pet Parade at 10:00am. Bring your pets dressed in their Halloween finery to join in the fun. All canine entries will receive a treat and gift certificates to the market will be awarded to the top three entries.
Over 35 vendors will be in attendance on this final day bringing a host of local and fresh produce, meats, seafood and dairy. In addition their will be a wide variety of specialty foods, jams, jellies, pickles, preserves, baked goods, gluten free baked goods, freshly roasted coffee and artisan wares.
The market is sponsored this week by Ellington Agway, who will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on feeding the birds this winter. Next Step Living can give you advice on how to lower your energy costs and The Mobile Animal Clinic of Eastern CT will be giving tours of their mobile veterinary van.
