Final Winter Ellington Farmers Market

It's stock up time this Saturday plus enjoy a Skillet Competition by EHS Culinary Competition Team. Market then takes a 7 week break

The Ellington Farmers' Market winter season ends with a bang this Saturday, March 16th from 2-4 PM at the Indian Valley Family YMCA, 11 Pinney St. The Ellington High School Culinary Competition team will be holding a Late Winter Skillet Competition at 2:30 in the children's room. Two teams of four high school students will have 30 minutes to prepare an entree from a basket of market foods which will include an unusual "mystery" item. The audience will sample and then vote on the winning team. Shop the market's 25 vendors before the event at 2PM then join the fun in the children's room. It's time to stock up on all your favorites so you don't run out during the 7 week break. The markets weekly newsletter lists all the vendors who will be attending this final winter market. Opening day of the summer market is May 11th in Arbor Park.
