Gardening Theme Day at Ellington Farmers Market

Gardening Grows the Spirit is the theme at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday May 26th from 9-12 in Arbor Park, Main St. Master Gardeners and Master Composters will be on hand to answer gardening and composting questions and gardening experts from Ellington Agway will be available to give advice on the wide variety products available for gardeners. Children can enjoy transplanting a heirloom tomato plant courtesy of Foster Hill Farm and plant a flower or vegetable seed courtesy of Ellington Agway. A wide variety of vegetable and flower plants including a huge selection of heirloom tomato plants and dahlia tubers will be available for purchase. The market hosts 40 vendors bringing locally raised farm products, baked goods, specialty foods and artisan wares. Dogtown Country Musicians will be providing the musical entertainment.
