Jadyn Feigenbaum was severely injured in an accident last March.
Editor’s note: We published this story earlier in the week, but here it is again in case you missed it.
In March of 2014, four elementary school students were involved in a serious accident in Enfield when the driver of their school van fell asleep at the wheel.
Three of the children suffered minor cuts and bruises, but 10-year-old Jadyn Feigenbaum, from Somers, was severely injured in the accident.

While her injuries were severe, her determination carried her down the long road to recovery. She has had to overcome many challenges, including permanent blindness in one eye, but she isn’t letting it weigh her down.
Despite this setback, her selfless spirit has led to the creation of the Jadyn Marley Foundation, which benefits vision restoration efforts for children with a variety of optic injuries and abnormalities. Her hope is that children with vision loss will one day be able to see again.
