Hall Memorial Library Host Mini Golf Day
Enjoy a fun, family, wintertime event with mini golf, face painting, photo booth and raffle to benefit library programs
Mini Golf at the Library returns this Saturday February 2nd as Hall Memorial Library in Ellington hosts what has become the town’s premiere fun family wintertime event. You can wind through elaborately constructed tubes and watch your golf ball eventually drop into a toilet, or try to maneuver your shot to avoid the swaying apple that stands in the way of your first hole in one. Co-sponsors Kloter Farms and Merrill Industries will join 23 local businesses to provide mini golf obstacles that zigzag through both floors of the library and up and down the stairs. When you finish your round of golf the whole family can feast at the food court featuring yummy Mac n’ Cheese from popular Craig’s Kitchen or some delicious homemade chili. Kids can enjoy face painting, a magician and a photo booth, and the always-popular teacup raffle is back with great prizes for everyone.
This popular fundraiser benefits the Friends of the Library group, an all-volunteer organization that provides funding for extra programs like library museum passes, summer reading program prizes, new technology and the new board game loan program.
Tickets for golf are free to under 3, $3.00 for ages 3-12 and $5.00 for adults, or you can purchase a family 4-pack for $15.00. Food is priced from 50 cents to $2.00.
