Health And Wellness Fair At The Ellington Farmers Market

The Ellington Farmers' Market is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday July 13th from 9-12 in Arbor Park. There will be advice and information on everything from keeping your smile healthy to Functional and Natural Medicine modalities and Physical Therapies. This will be a fun and informative event with lots of activities, free health screenings and loads of giveaways. The Husky Smart Shopping program from UConn Health will be giving demonstrations on making quick and easy nutritious salads from market ingredients beginning at 10:00. In addition to the ongoing matching SNAP program the market is matching the Farmers Market Nutrition Program Senior and WIC vouchers. Stop by the market booth for both. Produce is peaking and vendors will have both blueberries and the last strawberries of the season. Jeannie Murphy will be providing the musical entertainment for the morning. Bring your reusable bags and take home fresh, delicious goodies to last until the next market Saturday.
