Kids Power Of Produce Club Begins At The Ellington Farmers Market
Empowering children to make healthy food choices, kids receive a take home an activity and a $2 token to purchase produce at the market

Kids Power of Produce Club for children ages 5-12 has begun at the Ellington Farmers' Market. The market will be held at the Ellington High School Saturday June 27th and will be moving to Arbor Park on July 4th for the remainder of the season. The Kids Power of Produce (POP) Club looks to empower children to make healthy food choices and transform kids into market participants with an educational produce based activity to take home and enjoy and a $2 token to purchase fresh market produce.
POP club participation is a win-win for parents and children alike. Parents, witness their kids’ light bulb moments as they interact with activities, food, and practices that champion a healthy lifestyle.
Kids will learn while having fun, with the added bonus of becoming active market members. Empowered by the tokens, they are sure to shop and strut as they peruse the market for their edible take-home treasures. Free and fun for all kids ages 5-12. Stop by the market booth, the one with the POP sign, to receive a one time POP shopping bag, weekly activity and $2 token.
