Kids Power of Produce Club Kicks off at Ellington Farmers Market

In an effort to empower kids to make healthy food choices and introduce them to where their food comes from, the Ellington Farmers Market hosts a Power of Produce Club for kids 5-12. The Kids Power of Produce Club begins June 16th and runs through Sept.1st, 9-12, in Arbor Park on Main St. On enrollment by parents, the children will receive a market shopping bag, and a $2 token to purchase fresh produce. Additional $2 tokens will be given each week of participation. Weekly activities at the POP booth will include sampling produce, scavenger hunts, making vegetable animals, vegetable trivia and more.
