"Know Your Herbs" is this weeks theme at Ellington Farmers' Market
Herb experts will be on hand to answer all your herb questions. Herb plants and products, 40 vendors, live music, friends and fun from 9-12
Join us this Saturday to Meet Your Herbs.....learn everything from growing them in pots, to harvesting and using them for healing and cooking. We will have an herbalist and experts from the Connecticut Herb Association to answer all of your questions about aroma therapy, detoxing with herbs and using herbs and spices in your favorite recipes. Whole Harmony Artisan Tea will have a huge selection of herbal teas created by certified herbalist using many of the herbs grown on their herb farm. Container Crazy Cathy Testa will be giving the demonstration "Container Gardening with Edibles and Fruiting Shrubs" in the big gazebo at 10:00 where you learn to make a gorgeous container for you own patio. There will be body products and soaps made with essential herb oils and plenty of herb plants for sale. See you Saturday from 9 - 12 at Arbor Park. It's going to be a gorgeous day!

The Market is Matching SNAP DollarsHOW? Present your EBT card at the Market Booth where you can request any dollar amount to be debited from your card. That amount will be given to you in the form of SNAP coins redeemable at the Ellington Farmers Market only. The market will match the amount of snap coins up to $20 per week. We deduct $20 from you EBT and give you an $40 in SNAP coins to spend. This program will last until the $2000 budget is depleted.
