Latest Details on The Next Snow Chance For Somers, Ellington

The near-50-degree temps are leaving us and there is even some snow in the forecast.

Temps into the mid 40s to near 50 degrees weren’t going to last forever in Connecticut in late January as we head into February. The biggest weather change this week will be temps will feel much colder as daytime highs will remain in the low to mid 30s for much of the week and next weekend.

As of right now there is only one chance for some snow in the seven-day forecast. Initially, there was talk that a decent storm could form next Sunday, which is the Super Bowl, but Weather.com now says there is only a 20 percent chance of precipitation Sunday into next Monday.

The only snow chance right now is on Tuesday and it appears it will begin after the morning commute. However, it looks like there will be snow falling during the evening commute home. This isn’t expected to be a big deal with less than one inch of total snow accumulation expected. No advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service.
