Notable Milestones Achieved By Ellington, Somers College Students

ELLINGTON/SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• More than 2,300 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester, including Samuel Bedard, a Finance major from Ellington.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester, in which more than 1,300 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
  Ellington students are Evan Berak, Caitlin Burke, Nicholas Ford, Caroline Gray, Joel Hany, Kaitlyn Michaud, Christine Montanari, Ethan Moser, Andrew Raymond, Amber Ruel, Margaret Russell and Kalagena Sullivan. Honorees from Somers are Thomas Christian, Natalie Devlin, Ryan Elgin, Andrew Golden, Nathan Lynch, Kilee Nutbrown and Ashna Patel. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester. Part-time students are eligible if they've accumulated 15 or more credits of letter-graded course work with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Select students have been named to the fall 2020 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Area students who earned this achievement are Brett Boyd of Somers, and Madison Fox and Nicole Poulin, both of Ellington.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Five students from Somers and five from Ellington achieved Dean's List honors for the 2020 fall semester. A Dean's List student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term. From Somers: Karan Desai, Lauren Eastwood, Michael Manning, Connor Roberts and Dimitri Sanchez. From Ellington: Kathryn Bonanno, Daniel Leonard, April Phelps, Lucas VanDeventer and Abigail Wylie.
