Offensive Graffiti Spray-Painted In Somers: State Police

SOMERS, CT — State police received several complaints from Somers residents over the weekend concerning offensive graffiti found spray-painted onto two large cement pillars belonging to a utility company on Durkee Rd.

A police report did not specify the content of the content of the graffiti, but indicated it consisted of "a racial slur, profanity words and inappropriate drawings."

By Wednesday morning, the messages had been eradicated from the pillars.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Connecticut State Police Troop C at 860-896-3200.
