Parades, Services Planned for Memorial Day in Ellington

Memorial Day is Monday, May 25, and the town of Ellington has two parades and a remembrance program planned.

At approximately 9 a.m., a parade will begin from the Crystal Lake section of town, where Green Street intersects with Route 140. The parade will end at the Crystal Lake Cemetery where a brief service will be held.

After that, services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Ellington High School. At the conclusion of the program - at approximately 11:30 a.m. - a parade will begin from the school and will proceed to the Ellington Green and then to the Ellington Cemetery. A brief memorial tribute will be held at each location.
