Police Dog Nabs 100-Plus Grams Of Coke At Ellington Traffic Stop

A 58-year-old Vernon woman is facing drug charges after cocaine was seized at a traffic stop in Ellington, sate police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — State police confiscated cash and cocaine from a 58-year-old Vernon woman during a traffic stop last week, a report indicates.

State police said the stop was for a turn signal violation and took place at 6:06 p.m. The driver, identified as Katherine Nadeau, granted consent for a search and state police canine Ari uncovered a plastic bag containing about 135 grams of cocaine, according to a report.

State police also discovered $3,800 in cash inside the vehicle, a report indicates.

State police charged Nadeau with possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to sell, records show. She has a court date of July 7.
