Restaurant In Center of Somers Reopens
The Copper House Tavern reopened Tuesday after an absence of several months.

SOMERS, CT — After being closed for several months, the Copper House Tavern in the center of Somers reopened late Tuesday afternoon.
The casual restaurant is open for both indoor and outdoor dining. There is no bar seating at this time, however, as the owners are following the coronavirus guidelines established by the state of Connecticut.
Restaurant hours are Tuesday through Friday, 4-8 p.m.

The historic building dates back to 1804, originally known as the Kibbe Hotel. In 1931, the name changed to Ye Olde Homestead Inn, then in the 1960s to the Somers Inn, which it remained for more than half a century. The current owners purchased the business in 2015.
