Scarecrows, Pumpkins, Apple Crisp and More at Ellington Farmers' Market Saturday

Check out the scarecrows, enjoy delicious apple crisp and pick up loads of local and fresh produce and foods 9-12 Saturday

While Mother Nature does not promise extreme sunshine for Saturday like we have enjoyed for most of this outdoor market season, you don’t want to miss our annual Scarecrow Contest as well as entertainment by our own Connecticut State Troubadour, Kristen Graves.

So if rain is in the forecast, dust the mothballs off your umbrellas and colorful rain gear and join us for the fun! Vote for your favorite scarecrow; last year the winner was a “live” one!! Creativity will abound, and so will fresh, locally grown produce, seafood, meats, dairy, specialty foods and artisan goods. Luann will provide her delicious apple crisp, which alone is worth the trip from home from 9 am to noon. We might run out, so come early!
