ELLINGTON/SOMERS, CT — Good fortune recently came to a Somers woman who hit for a big winner and an Ellington retailer which sold a 5-figure CT Lottery ticket in the past week.

Christine McCulloch of Somers won $20,000 on a Keno ticket purchased at the 7-Eleven store in Enfield. She claimed her winnings Friday.

Three days later, Salvatore Dimauro III turned a $10 investment in a 10X Cash 14th Edition scratch ticket into that game's top prize of $10,000. He bought his lucky ticket at the Ellington Road Runners gas station and convenience store at 83 West St.
