Somers Human Services Department Receives Donation

First Selectwoman Lisa Pellegrini called it a "wonderful surprise."

The Somers Human Services Department recently received a “wonderful surprise” when the Somers High School Class of 1965 stopped by.

The class presented the town with a total of $1,050 ($1,020 check and $30 cash) for the Back to School Backpack Program.

“We were overwhelmed by their generosity and cannot thank the Class of 1965 enough for such thoughtfulness,” said First Selectwoman Lisa Pellegrini. “They are just wonderful people.”
