Somers Man Accused of Burglarizing Vehicles
The 19-year-old is now facing several charges.

A 19-year-old Somers man is now facing several charges after being accused of burglarizing vehicles.
On July 27 at approximately 2:15 a.m., troopers located a suspicious vehicle within the parking lot of Geissler’s Supermarket in Somers. Upon speaking with a female occupant of the vehicle, information was developed that John Palmer, 19, of 33 Manse Hill Rd. in Somers, had walked from the vehicle and was on foot in the area, burglarizing vehicles.

K9 Rocky initiated a track from the vehicle and was successful in locating Palmer approximately seven tenths of a mile away. Upon locateing Palmer, it was revelead that he had been burglarizing vehicles, as he was in possession of a large quantity of loose change and had admitted doing so.
Palmer was placed into custody and transported to Troop C where he was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary from a motor vehicle, manufacture or possession of burglar’s tools, and six counts of sixth-degree larceny from a motor vehicle.

He was later released with a court date of Aug. 10 at Rockville superior Court.
