Somers Public Library Fall Used Book Sale
Fall is the perfect time to gather your winter reading and puzzle entertainment for you and your friends and family!
Friends of the Somers Public Library Fall 2019 Used Book Sale
The bi-annual Friends of the Somers Library Used Book Sale is scheduled for October 4 to October 6, 2019. The donations have been pouring in all summer and they include such items as gently used books, CD’s, DVD’s, puzzles, children’s books, etc. Our storage areas are bursting to capacity which means more books to choose from for you! With the weather starting to get cooler the used book sale is a great time to stock up on books or puzzles for the winter or to get a jump start on some holiday shopping. The sale will take place at the Somers Public Library located at 2 Vision Boulevard off RT 190. Cash, check and Visa/MC payments will be accepted.
The preview sale is scheduled for Friday, October 4th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for a cost of $5. Friends members are free. (Annual membership is $10). The open sale is on Saturday, October 5th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, October 6th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Prices for hardcover and paperback books will range from 50 cents to $2 with separate sections of higher priced books that include antique/vintage books as well as newer books. All books are donated with an estimated 15,000+ total inventory and are available in a wide range of categories such as history, cooking, sports, fiction, non-fiction, gardening, etc. Children’s books are sorted by age/grade.
On Saturday there will be an Educators Special; Buy 10, Get 1 FREE (equal or lesser value). Must show a current K-12 Teacher ID at time of purchase. Sunday is both half price day and Stuff the Bag*($8 new/$5 with one already owned, with the current design). Truly a great value! (*special guidelines apply)

All proceeds from the sale help subsidize the children and adult programs at the Somers Public Library, as well as assist in the funding of local museum passes, Snacks with Santa, and hands-on discovery stations in the children’s section. There is free, ample parking at the library.
