SOMERS, CT — A state Department of Transportation dump truck lost its brakes and slammed into a utility pole in Somers, state police said.
The crash took place at 12:11 p.m. on Friday, according to a report. The 43-year-old driver was not injured, according to a report.
The truck was heading north on South Road in Somers, state police said. The driver reported a brake failure and wound up hitting a utility pole while avoiding another vehicle, according to a report.
