Third Annual Zucchini 500 Drag Race, Aug. 1st, at Ellington Farmers' Market

Enjoy hometown entertainment at it's best at this humerous event. Bring a chair to sit under the trees in Arbor Park watch this fun event.

Ladies and Gentlemen start your engines! The third annual Zucchini 500 Drag Race will take place at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday Aug. 1st at 10:00 am. Participants can register for the double elimination contest beginning at 9:00 to be eligible to race down the 6.5 inch wide 25 foot track. No gas, battery, electric or wind-up powered motors of any kind attached to the car. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers and the “most nutritious” car. (car decorated with the most produce)

This popular signature event of the Ellington Farmers’ Market provides hometown entertainment at it’s best. Mike “the accordion man” will be providing the musical entertainment. Bring a chair and relax under the shade of the trees in Arbor Park, Main St. Ellington while enjoying this humorous contest.
