Tri-Town Hockey Takes Fermi-Enfield to the Net With a 4-2 Win
The Ellington, Somers and East Windsor team is now 3-0.

Scott Wyllie submitted the below post to Ellington-Somers Patch.
With its third straight win the Tri-Town Terrorcats continue to demonstrate they are a tough contender in the North Central Connecticut Conference.Â
Saturday night proved to be a great night for high school hockey. Tri-Town stepped on the ice ready to play and midway through the first period Tri-Town’s Ryan Gaidos went over the shoulder of Fermi-Enfield goalie Matt Roy to give Tri-Town a 1-0 lead heading into the 2nd period. As the battle continued, both teams picked up a goal in the second period.
Freshman Ryan Sherba helped Tri-Town shore up their lead to 2-0 with an assist from Connor Wyllie. Fermi-Enfield pushed back with a late period goal by defenseman Ryan Gothers assisted by Jacob Quinn. Â
A 3rd period goal by Fermi-Enfield’s Brian Riley with a pass from Justin Carey narrowed the gap, but Tri-Town’s Nick Violette put one in the back of the net giving Tri-Town a 3-2 lead (assisted by Connor Wyllie and Ryan Sherba).
With 43 seconds remaining, Tri-Town Senior Ryan Bialy hit an open net goal to shut the door on Fermi-Enfield. Â
With the help of Tri-Town defensemen Sam Greenberg and Jason Miller, Enfield-Fermi had limited offensive opportunities. Tri-Town goal tender Alex Bliesener had 28 saves. Fermi-Enfield’s Matt Roy had 15 saves.
