Troop 387 Champ’s Place Food Drive

Troop 387 Food Drive was a huge success!

On December 8, 2019, BSA Troop 387 from Somers, CT held a food drive to collect wish-listed items and to raise money for Champ's Place, a food pantry run out of the Somers Congregational Church. Over 10 volunteers from Troop 387 helped the drive by standing outside Geissler's in front of a donation table from 9:00 to 4:00. In total, the food drive collected well over 500 canned goods and toiletries for Champ's Place, along with $934 in monetary donations collected throughout the day. Overall, the food drive was a huge success. Troop 387 and Champ’s Place would wish to thank Geissler’s and all the people who donated that day making this charitable event a huge success.
